Besides the whole summer, Christmas is my favorite time of year. Because I don't like the cold, I always say that Christmas and all of its festivities are perfectly placed to make it easier to enjoy the frosty air and the early sunsets.
I participated in a Christmas decor challenge on YouTube with an upload due date of November 18th, so I started decorating earlier than usual this year. So I kicked my ideas into high gear and came up with this mantle display that I love.
I knew since the start of fall that I wanted to go with a gold, white, and black color scheme. A great bit of decorating advice would be to start with a color scheme and build from there. I always recommend three colors for any decor option, with two colors being the main ones used and the third, the accent.
For this mantle I did two DIY projects; the 'JOY' sign and the two vases on either end. I have videos linked at the bottom of this post if you're interested in checking those out. They can be found on my YouTube channel.
The gifts shown below were empty boxes that I wrapped and I added the black and white ribbon to the two small candles.
Hopefully this provides some Christmas decorating ideas and inspiration.
