Updating an Old Desk
This desk has been in our family for several years and needed an update. See how vintage it is?
I sanded this bad boy down, removing all the shine, and got down to the wood grain around the major wooden areas.
I proceeded to paint those areas with a light gray paint that I had on hand, as it was a sample of the paint in our living room. It was just enough to complete this project.
I used an even lighter gray to cover over the old-school weaved areas on the top, sides, and drawer.
I got a piece of thin plywood and painted on a light coat of gray stain.
I then glued the plywood to the top of the desk.
