No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars
Who doesn't like a no-bake recipe? And when it's this good, you can't help but love it. Whether you're preparing something for your family, friends, a potluck, or a big gathering, this dessert is always a hit. And leftovers are pretty much non-existent so don't plan on bringing any home from your work party!
The ingredient list is short and simple too. Here's what you'll need to make these delicious chocolate peanut butter bars:
1 and 1/2 sticks (12 tablespoons of butter, melted
2 cups of pretzel rods, crushed into crumbs
1 and 1/2 cups of confectioners' sugar
1 cup of peanut butter and another 1/4 cup of peanut butter for later
1 15-ounce package of milk chocolate chips
Press the mixture into an ungreased 13 by 9 inch baking dish.
Add the chocolate chips to a microwave-safe bowl and melt the chocolate in the microwave using 30-second intervals to avoid overheating. Once the chocolate starts to soften, add the 1/4 cup of peanut butter and blend completely. Spread this mixture over the peanut butter/pretzel layer.
Refrigerate this for at least one hour to allow everything to solidify.
Once it is set, your treat should look something like this and you can go ahead and cut it into bars.
